Helen Feltovich

Professor & Medical Director of Maternal Fetal Medicine Imaging, Intermountain Healthcare

Helen Feltovich is Professor and Medical Director of Maternal Fetal Medicine Imaging at Intermountain Healthcare in Salt Lake City, Utah.  She is also faculty in the Medical Physics department at University of Wisconsin-Madison, where she co-leads, with physicists Tim Hall and Ivan Rosado-Mendez, the Quantitative Ultrasound lab that focuses on understanding microstructure and biomechanics of reproductive tissues.  She is currently on the Board of Directors of the Society for Maternal Fetal Medicine, the Board of Governors of the American Society for Ultrasound in Medicine, and the Scientific Committee of the International Society for Ultrasound in Ob/Gyn.  She is also a regular member of the NIH’s Clinical and Translational Imaging study section, and leads the SMFM’s Task Force on Artificial Intelligence as well as co-chairs AIUM’s AI community.  Her dream is that someday, through multi-model imaging and modelling, we can understand ancient unsolved mysteries like what causes labor, so that we can finally solve some the ancient great obstetrical problems like preterm labor.
