Who and What is Marani?
With more than 350,000 babies born around the world each day, there is a significant need develop digital health solutions to improve prenatal and postpartum care across the globe. Marani’s focus is on digital prenatal telehealth solutions for these mothers, and we are dedicated to improving the experience and outcomes of pregnant women through novel technologies and a unique prenatal care platform. We are focused on improving maternal and fetal health outcomes and working to ensure access to our technologies in traditionally under-served communities.
OUR NAME, MARANI HEALTH
We abstracted our name from strong women in science and mathematics who opened new boundaries of knowledge. Women who were not only brilliant, but also possessed a leadership spirit that always brought them to ask themselves whether any part of their quest was right. We are inspired by their indomitable spirit and humble approach to discovery and made it the core of Marani’s purposeful operating philosophy: we never stop asking ourselves “is it right?” – for that one woman, for her specific condition, for that family, for that care partner. And then, everything we do is because the answer has been “YES”.
We are laser focused on delivering a unique digital prenatal telehealth solution addressing a significant need for improved care and monitoring of pregnant and postpartum women. A heightened need for improved solutions was driven by the COVID-19 pandemic with the acceptance of remote monitoring exploding over the past year. Many physicians are looking for solutions to better manage their patients from the patient’s home Care teams are looking for solutions to capture more data to allow clinical teams to better understand when mothers and their unborn children need additional care. The needs are paramount in rural areas, where clinical prenatal care is difficult, as well as in urban areas where mothers may not have the ability to get the care they need.
A DIGITAL PREGNANCY PLATFORM
This is an exciting time for the Marani team. We are planning several product launches in the coming months. Our initial product is our M•other pregnancy app, a patient facing pregnancy education and engagement mobile app incorporating the Mayo Clinic Guide to a Healthy Pregnancy book along with Marani pregnancy tracking and birth preparation features. Our next launch will be our M•care patient management platform followed by our pregnancy monitoring band. We are also working on exciting projects with key medical institutions including the Mayo Clinic to use Artificial Intelligence to evaluate relationships between the baby’s heart rate and outcomes of baby and mom.
